If you need to verify the legitimacy of an e-signature or e-seal on a document, you can use our validation tool. The tool checks the signature or seal and provides information about its status, helping you confirm whether it is genuine and meets the applicable requirements.

eIDAS compliance
Dokobit by Signicat provides a qualified e-signature and e-seal validation service in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS).
Dokobit is the first Qualified Trust Service Provider for e-signature and e-seal validation in the Baltics, supervised by a Member State Supervisory Body and included in the EU Trusted Service List.

How to validate e-signatures and e-seals
1. Log in to your Dokobit by Signicat account.
2. From the top navigation menu, select Validations.
3. Press New validation.
4. Upload the e-signed or e-sealed document.
| Note: Only one document can be uploaded at a time. |
5. Select the validation policy and liability level that should be applied to the document.

6. Press Validate and wait for the validation report to generate.
| Note: Validation may take longer if the document contains multiple signatures and seals. |
7. Once the report is generated, you will be redirected to the validation results.

How to download validation reports and diagnostic data
1. Upload a document for validation and go to Details.

2. Press one of the three buttons below to download the necessary file.
Standard validation reportProvides the overall validation result and key information about the signatures or seals. |
Detailed validation reportProvides additional information about the checks performed during validation and can help you understand why a signature or seal received a particular status. |
Diagnostic dataContains detailed, machine-readable information about the validation process. It can be useful when investigating a failed or indeterminate validation, or when the validation result needs to be reviewed by a technical expert. |
