What is a signature with reason

In the Dokobit by Signicat portal, you can assign a signature reason to specific participants when preparing documents for signing. A signature reason provides additional context about the purpose of a signature, helping make signed documents easier to understand and review at a glance.
Below are examples of where signature reasons appear throughout the signing process.

How to add a signature reason

Important! A signature reason is added during the document signing process, so make sure to specify it in the participant settings beforehand by following the steps below. Once a document has been signed, the signature reason cannot be edited. |
1. Log in to your Dokobit by Signicat account.
2. Press Upload document.
3. Scroll down to the Add participants section, where you can add participants by entering their details in the form.
4. Press the drop-down menu labeled Signature.
5. Then press Signature with reason.
6. Select one of the pre-defined signature reasons or create a custom one.
- Acknowledgment. Confirms that the signing party has read and accepted the document and agrees with the provided information.
- Copy-certification. Verifies the authenticity of a document copy.
- Visa. Certifies that the document has been reviewed and verified as accurate.

Custom reason. Enter your own signature reason (up to 100 characters).
7. Once all other settings have been adjusted and the document has been signed, the signature reason will be added to the document.
